Admissions Process

Step 1: Visit our school

Attending an Information Session or an Open House will help you understand Educara’s unique intergenerational Montessori and play based method of education, provide an overview of the toddler and preschool programs offered, meet the teachers, and participate in a tour of the centre. Individual tours can also be booked by calling 613-702-1116 or emailing

The admissions process is designed to help you learn as much as possible  about our school, and at the same time help us become better acquainted with you and your child. Before you schedule a visit, please take some time to think about questions that are most important to you regarding  your child. This is the perfect opportunity to ask specific questions pertaining to your child.

Step 2: Application process

After having your school tour and/or attending an open house you will be provided with a comprehensive admissions package, that includes all of  the paperwork and forms required to move forward with the application process.

Applications must be submitted to the school office with a one-time registration fee of $75.00. Payment Terms: pre-authorized Visa/MC or post-dated cheques.  HST as applicable.

Step 3: Admission

Once availability is confirmed, prospective parents are requested to  come for an introduction meeting, accompanied by your child. At this  time, verification of registration information is completed, a Parent  Handbook and list of required documents is provided, and an entry  schedule is developed. Parents will be required to review, accept, and  sign-off on the policies set out in the Parent Handbook before their child will be admitted to our programs.

On or before commencement of services, Educara will require:

  • Provide sign-off on the policies set out in the Parent Handbook
  • Sign and commit to a Tuition agreement, including a payment method agreement (pre-authorized Visa/MC, post-dated cheques)
  • A photocopy of the child’s birth certificate
  • A photocopy of the child’s immunization record OR a Ministry Medical Exemption Form OR the Ministry Exemption Form
  • A good quality image (Head shot) of your child
  • Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan – if required
  • Authorization form for alternative pick-ups

We are happy to guide you through the Application Process and we are  always available to answer your questions. We look forward to welcoming  you and your child into our Educara Montessori family.
